The tilting gearbox transmits the drive power of the drive from the tilt frame via the chassis to the drive wheels and axles of the vehicle, without the driver noticing the load changes when accelerating or braking the vehicle.

The tilt gear is mechanically connected to the tilt frame on the input side and to the chassis on the output side.

The drive power from the tilting frame is transferred via a primary chain to the tilting gear and the secondary chain to the drive wheels and axles. A linear or excenter adjustment of the bearing units allows the adjustment of the chain pre-stresses on the respective primary or secondary chain.
